NAA and You – Working Holidays
If you’re a Registered Nurse between the ages of 18 and 31 and about to embark on an Australian holiday – or even just contemplating a break ‘Down Under’ – you may be interested to know that there’s an easy way to bolster your budget: sign up with Nursing Agency Australia (NAA) and work shifts that take into account your itinerary.

As one of the country’s leading national nursing placement agencies, we offer you the widest possible choice, with shifts in major metropolitan hospitals and aged care facilities as readily available as assignments at remote clinics.

We’re also able to accommodate all nursing fields, from ICU and mental health, to aged care and midwifery.

And it’s so straightforward to become part of the NAA team. You require a valid passport and a working visa – obtainable from your nearest Australian High Commission or Embassy – along with qualifications recognised by Australia’s Nurse Registration Board. Then you need to register with the Nurses Board in the state you will first work in, remembering, of course, that reciprocity between all State Boards allows you to work throughout the country.

We’ll happily assist with registration matters and provide all the relevant information. Alternatively, give us a call – ahead of or on arrival – submit the required documents, advise us of your travel plans and work availability, and we’ll do the rest.

Whatever your requirements, you can be sure we have the shifts to match. You could start in Sydney, with its internationally recognised teaching hospitals…not to mention its beautiful harbour and beaches and scintillating nightlife. Then complete a few shifts in South Australia’s famous Barossa Valley wine region, followed by a sampling of Adelaide’s relaxed lifestyle and excellent restaurants.

Of course, there’s still the rural, remote and Outback options, taking you to unique environments and diverse cultures. Work placements are wide-ranging and could include shifts in an Aboriginal community or at a remote Outback town, or even a stint with the famous Royal Flying Doctor Service.
