Given Australia’s strong demand for nurses, we enjoy Australian Government approval to offer 12-month (renewable) sponsorships to overseas Registered Nurses who satisfy minimum requirements and wish to work in Australia, on a full-time basis. Sponsorships can be renewed up to a maximum of four years.

All overseas Registered Nurses interested in joining the program must be proficient in English and hold nursing qualifications recognised by Australia’s Nurse Registration Board. Having satisfied these requirements, we recommend that you send us your curriculum vitae and two written professional references – preferably from current or recent work sites.

You’ll then need to register with a Nurses Board in an Australian state (reciprocity between all State Boards allows you to work throughout the country). We’ll happily assist with registration matters and provide all the relevant information.



We’ll then get back to you with approval of the sponsorship, and we will provide you with information on how to apply for your visa with the Department of Immigration.

Once you have lodged your visa application, we will forward a copy of our sponsorship approval letter to the relevant authorities. Your approval should be processed within about eight weeks, after which you’ll need to forward a certified copy of your visa approval to us and notify us of your port of entry and arrival date. We will then help you to find work in metropolitan hospitals or rural clinics, or a mix of the two.
