Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Direct Care Workers need to have obtained the relevant qualifications within their area of practice and be able to provide professional references that identify competency within these areas.

Bachelor of Nursing undergraduate students in their second or third year may work in the hospital environment under this classification or discuss with Education the opportunities to expand their placement opportunities.

Areas that don't meet our criteria include voluntary work, home care and working with the intellectually disabled, unless they are in a nursing home environment.

Nurses who are registered or enrolled in one state and want to work in another state need to obtain an application form from the appropriate Nurses Board (see list below). Mutual recognition agreements are in place and application requirements and fees vary from state to state.
